“গরিব মানুষ যুদ্ধ করতে পারে না” – ব্রেখত

গরীব মানুষ পারে ফসল ফলাতে

যে ফসলে যুদ্ধ বাজদের পেট ভরে !

গরীব মানুষের বানানো গাড়ি

যুদ্ধবাজদের নিয়ে যায় সেই ঘরে-

যেখান থেকে ওরা যুদ্ধের ঘোষণা করে!

গরীব মানুষ গুলোর হাড়গুলোকে ভেঙ্গে গুঁড়িয়ে

উঠে আসে কালো হীরে আর তরল সোনা

যা দিয়ে যুদ্ধবাজদের ঘরে আলো জ্বলে !

গরীব মানুষগুলোর ঘামে ভেজা শরীর

তৈরি করে কামান – বন্দুক – বিমান

উঠে আসে গরীব মানুষেরই হাতে-

কেমন করে ?

“গরিব মানুষ যুদ্ধ করতে পারে না”

তাই গরীব মানুষ হয়ে ওঠে কামানের খাদ্য

যুগে – যুগান্তরে !

গরীব মানুষের পেটের ক্ষিধে

তাকে নিয়ে যায় টেনে

যুদ্ধের প্রান্তরে !

তার মত কোন এক দধীচির হাড়ের আঘাতে

খুন করতে হয় আর এক গরীবকে –

তাই –

গরীব মানুষ যুদ্ধ করতে না পারলেও

গরীব মানুষই যুদ্ধ করে-

যুদ্ধ থেকে বাঁচার জন্য যুদ্ধ করে-

যুদ্ধকে হারিয়ে দেওয়ার জন্য যুদ্ধ করে-

যুদ্ধ মুক্ত পৃথিবী দেখার জন্য যুদ্ধ করে-

ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মকে সুন্দর পৃথিবী

উপহার দেওয়ার জন্য যুদ্ধ করে-

পৃথিবীতে গরীব মানুষ চিরকাল যুদ্ধ করে।

They are fighting against their hunger 
They are for their home 
They are fighting for their right & justice 
Throughout the world they are fighting for humanity 
Yes, the Poor Men are fighting. 

They are those, who prepare the war machines 
which will be used to kill 
The Poor Men like them 
in any part of the world. 
They are those who are helping 
the dictators to kill their emotions 
in the name of democracy. 
They are those who are helping 
the rich men to loot their wealth 
in the disguise of prosperity for them. 
Yes, they are the Poor Men. 

But in one morning 
THE POOR MEN will raise their voice
 against the torture against them 
who are the real enemy of this beautiful word. 
The POOR MEN will start their last war 
for that WORLD, where 
THERE SHALL BE NO WAR.
